With semi-automated parking systems, part of the parking process is done mechanically in at least two different conveyor operations. An extra transfer cabin is not required. The driver pulls the vehicle directly onto the palette, lifting-and shifting process starts automatically. Examples of semi-automated systems:

Parking lifts with shifting palettes use palettes with horizontal doorways; palettes are laterally movable. Palettes above and below are vertically retrievable to the doorway, thus the doorway is designed as empty space. Parking is done through the vertical grid of the parking levels
